SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
MAY 5, 2005
A SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held on Thursday, May 5, 2005, in the Council Chambers.
Those in attendance included Mayor Owen J. Quinn, Jr., members of the Board of Public Safety, Douglas J. Benedetto, Christopher H. Cook, Carolann Kennedy-Pucino, and Thomas T. Telman, Jr., Police Chief Robert Milano, Acting Deputy Police Chief Michael Maniago. Absent were Commissioners Richard L. Zaharek, and Michael Colangelo, and Corporation Counsel Al Vasko.
Mayor Quinn called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.
Chief Milano indicated that two candidates had successfully completed the medical testing and their backgrounds had been completed and reviewed by Commissioner Cook, member of the Personnel Committee - Police Department.
APPOINTMENTS: GOMEZ AND SOUTHARD #050
Commissioner Cook made a motion to appoint Chad Gomez and Matthew Southard as Probationary Police Officers for the City of Torrington, to begin work at the pleasure of the city, which would be Monday, May 9th, 2005. Commissioner Benedetto seconded the motion. Unanimous.
ADJOURNMENT #070
On a motion by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 5:35 p.m.
